Marin County, near Mount Tamalpais, the highest peak in the Marin Hills,
which are part of the Northern California Coast Ranges. As of the 2000
census, the city population was 12,014. Adjacent to Larkspur's downtown is
Madrone Canyon, which is a residential area and a redwood grove.
Larkspur is the location for one of Golden Gate Transit's ferry system. It
